Overview
San Francisco Chinatown Photographic Society (CPS) was founded in 1967. We have been around for over fifty-five years. CPS is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization. Our vision is community services through the venue of photography.
Since the inception, CPS has been promoting the art of photography to the community by holding various photography workshops, field trips, photo contests, photo exhibitions and eleven years of International Salon under the auspices of Photographic Society of America (PSA) in 1976-86. CPS went through its shares of ups and downs in the 1980-90s. It was not until the late 1990’s with the return of former members such as Johnny Lee, Carson Woo and others alike that we revitalized our society. We ventured into offering introductory classes in computers and digital photography to our members and the community. We offer photography workshops, field trips and photo competitions. We are proud to have special monthly and weekend programs for the past six years in special photography topics by known photographers, computer and digital photography workshops, and discussion groups.
We are proud to be the only recognized photographic organization in San Francisco Chinatown with all-around services to our members and the community. We welcome membership inquires and new members.

三藩市華藝攝影學會（簡稱：華藝）成立於1967年11月，是一個有著超過55年歷史的機構。華藝是一個在聯邦與加州政府注冊的501(c)3教育類非牟利機構。我們的宗旨是通過攝影服務社區。
自建會以來，華藝持續傳揚攝影藝術，舉辦攝影講座，出外採風，舉辦攝影比賽與攝影展。從1976至1986年，舉辦了十一屆美國攝影學會（PSA)認證的國際沙龍比賽。在上世紀八十至九十年代，華藝經歷了發展中的低潮。在九十年代末，老會員如李良，胡新等竭力振興華藝。華藝為會員提供電腦知識與數碼相機的講座。這種攝影教學、交流、出外採風等活動持續至今。
我們為華藝是三藩市華埠唯一提供與攝影相關的社區服務學會而驕傲。歡迎您加入我們的學會。
Mission Statement 宗旨
Our mission is fourfold:
(1) To meet friends through the medium of photography;
(2) To learn from each other in photography;
(3) To increase our body of knowledge in the art and technology of photography; and,
(4) To serve the community through the medium of photography.
以影會友，切磋影藝，增知廣識，服務社群。
SFCPS History華藝歷史
SFCPS Founding Date:
November 1967
三藩市「華藝攝影學會」（簡稱「華藝」）是一個成立于1967年的機構。
Club Office Locations 華藝會址的三遷與創辦:
(1) 1976 November founding address: 752 Stockton Street, Basement, 200-300 square feet.
(2) 1975: 1310 Powell Street, about 2,000 square feet.
(3) 1978 – Present: 132 Waverly Place, San Francisco, CA 94108
Monthly Competitions:
1968 – First monthly black & white competitions, followed by color prints and color slides.
International Salons:
1968 – First International Salon under PSA sponsorship till 1986 for a total of 11 years.

1. Member of Photographic Society of America (PSA) since 1968
2. Member of Northern California Council of Camera Clubs (N4C) since 1968.
