Community service is one of the core values in CPS. From the inception of CPS in 1960’s, community services had been provided. CPS members attended community events such as Miss Chinatown Pageant and were the official photographers. Photos were printed to displayed in the Chinatown shops. CPS also partnered with N4C to participated the Photo Day in the Palace of Fine Art, which exhibited members’ award winning photos.
CPS community services also included the photo exhibition in the San Francisco Chinatown Autumn Street Fair. In the street fair, CPS provided free portrait photography and prints to senior community members. In addition, CPS provided on-site portrait services to senior houses throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. These services had been recognized by the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), San Francisco City government and various non-profit organizations. These organizations had provided in-kind materials and grants totaled to $8,475.
During the COVID-19 pandemic period, led by Vice President Tony Kwan did the fundraising to support the healthcare workers with personal protected equipment (PPE). Within a few days, we raised $25,000. This was reported by Sing Tao Newspaper.
「華藝」早期為社區活動提供攝影服務，比如為華埠選美拍攝并展出優秀作品。每年與N4C聯合舉辦在三藩市藝術宮的圖片展出Photo Day。
「華藝」多年來除服務會員，也為社區服務，比如參加每年三藩市華埠中秋節的嘉年華會，展覽會員作品、為社區居民提供免費人像拍攝與照片打印。在母親節與父親節前後，把服務送到老人公寓。免費為長者拍攝人像及打印照片。
這項服務受到社區的極大歡迎，也獲得不少組織的財務支助。例如美國退休人士組織（American Association of Retired Persons AARP)長期捐贈照片的封套。另外，從去年開始，Frank Jang副會長代表華藝向多個政府與非牟利機構申請財務支助（grants)並獲得撥款。目前共收到$8475的財務支助。
從2020年至2022年，在新冠疫情（COVID-19)的大環境下操作，由關文潛副會長統籌的捐獻活動，眾多會員慷慨解囊，幾天之內籌得二萬五千元，為抗疫前線醫護人員贈送保護裝備，《星島日報》為此事也作出報道。
