CPS Members Participated International Salon Exhibitions
In the 1960’s and 70’s, CPS members started participating the photo contests hosted by the Northern California Council of Camera Clubs (N4C). This was the first step emerging into the American photographic mainstream. Our members won many awards in these contests.
Between 1976 and 1986, CPS hosted the Photographic Society of America (PSA) patronage international salon exhibition. This was the step that CPS took to emerge into global photographic mainstream. The effort behind hosting the exhibitions was tremendous! Our founders deeply believed that our photographic art quality was world-class thus took this step.
Continued the tradition in a different way, CPS organized its members to participated in Trierenberg Super Circuit of Austria. From 2010 to 2022 Chinatown Photographic Society (CPS) has won 9 digital group gold medals and 3 Top Ten Photographic Club Trophies in these events. CPS members had gained progress in this event, there were only a few members participated in 2010, there were 57 members, who participated in 2022! Currently, there are 23 CPS members are actively participating various international salon exhibitions and won many awards.
In 2022, President Henry Jang had been selected by PSA as one of the top-ten photographers in Travel Section; CPS member Jie Fischer was selected by PSA as one of the top-ten photographers in Nature Section. President Henry Jang was named one of the top-ten Chinese photographers in the World in 2021 and 2022 and being placed at the first place.
Several CPS members had achieved esteemed titles from PSA, FIAP and many other major photographic organizations.

華藝會員參加國際沙龍攝影比賽
「華藝」早年組織參加北加州攝影學會 (The Northern California Council of Camera Clubs (N4C) )比賽并取得優異成績。這是「華藝」早期在攝影領域里走出華埠、走入美國攝影主流社會的一步。
「華藝」從1976年至1986年連續舉辦了11屆得到美國攝影學會（Photographic Society of America （PSA))認證的國際沙龍比賽。這是「華藝」走出加州，走向世界的一步。
舉辦國際沙龍比賽的背後，凝聚著早期會員在攝影造旨上的精湛與雄心、組織能力及領導才能、對相關的法律要求的認知及執行、與相關機構及參賽者之間的溝通等能力。
「華藝」從2010年至2022年參加了有超過130個國家參加的奧地利攝影超級聯賽 (奧賽)，除2011年「華藝」沒有參賽與2020年賽事因疫情停賽外，參賽的12年都取得了優異的成績，其中獲得了九次的數碼組團體金牌和三次十大團體最佳攝影俱樂部奬，這也是全球唯一的海外華人攝影俱樂部獲得此殊榮。最令人驕傲的是從當初只有幾位會員參賽發展到2022年57人參賽。目前，華藝有23位會員積極參與國際沙龍賽事並獲得驕人的成績。這從某程度上講，也是會員整體攝影水平不斷提高的見證。
在2021年至2023年間，多位華藝會員參加了多個國際沙龍比賽，成績斐然。其中鄭向陽會長取得了2021年與2022年全球華人攝影十傑之一；鄭向陽、曾嘉鴻、熊永渝董事獲得「美國攝影學會」（Photographic Society of America) 與「美國攝影聯會(Photographic Alliance of America)頒發的優秀攝影師等稱號（熊永渝(EPSA, AFIAP)，曾嘉鴻 (MPSA, BPSA, AFIAP, BAPU)，鄭向陽 (MPSA, EFIAP, GAPU, GMAPS, MSSP, HonCPE), Donna Hom丹菁 (MPSA, AFIAP, SAPU, GAPS, GIIs), Jie Fischer(婕菲舍)更獲得優秀攝影大師(GMPSA, BPSA, EFIAP, GAPU, FAPU, FPSNY)的稱譽。
