In 1976 through 1986, Chinatown Photographic Society (CPS) had hosted 11 Photographic Society of America (PSA) patronage international photo salons. This was a very valuable program that CPS took pride of. It denoted that our members possessed high level of photographic art in that time period. Unfortunately, this program ended in 1986 for various reasons.
In recent years, many of our members actively participated in the international photographic salon competitions and won many awards. For example, In 2022, 57 CPS members participated the 31st Trierenberg Super Circuit, which was a historical high in number of participants. We also won the Top-ten best photographic club trophy in this event.
In the beginning of 2023, we set the goal to re-launch the international salon program. After the persistent efforts from many of our volunteer members, especially the members of our departments of salon and technology, our application to host the international photographic salon was approved by PSA on July 18, 2023. This is the milestone of CPS in inheriting our history and ushering to the future.

各位會友大家好！了解華藝歷史的會友們可能都知道華藝的前輩們從1976至1986年間主辦過11屆美國攝影學會（PSA)認證的國際攝影沙龍比賽。
鑒於多位華藝會員目前正積極參與國際攝影沙龍比賽，在2022年更有史無前例的57位會友參加澳賽並獲得十傑攝影俱樂部。這代表著華藝會員攝影整體水平在不斷提高。在2023年初，我们設立了重啟國際攝影沙龍比賽的項目。經過多位會員的義務熱心幫助，特別是科技組與沙龍組的成員，我們向PSA申請在2023年舉辦國際沙龍比賽在7月18日獲得批准（赛事號碼：2023-513）。這是華藝停辦國際攝影沙龍比賽後37年重啟的項目，也是𠄘先啟後的一個里程碑！
在此，我號召所有會員把自己的作品拿出來參賽。至於如何參賽，華藝將會組織一系列講座及幫助會員們參賽。也歡迎大家轉告所有攝影愛好者參賽。截稿日期為11/18/2023。
